It answers the eight findings of the audit of commit bc64b98 (job 193411a0-b64c-477e-a785-e57fb254dd91), which itself followed the audit of commit 672a97b (job a300cdb8-36eb-408a-9b46-c8d94d108cda); README.md lists every fix. MarketHoursHook is a Uniswap v4 hook that lets its coin trade only during a daily session: while the market is closed, limit orders wait in two books and each book is filled at one clearing price when a bell rings (opening 12:00 UTC, closing 16:00 UTC). It creates BellGame (sealed commit-reveal guesses at the next opening price, points only, no tokens), BellRinger (rings the due bell, runs that bell's chores and pays the caller a capped reward priced from block.basefee) and SwarmBudget (pays two fixed nightly Intake requests); MarketHoursCoin is a fixed-supply ERC-20. Priorities, first: whether each fix of the last audit holds and whether it opened a new problem — the one-sided deposit-cap weight (marketable orders in full, passive orders down to 1 % at the band's edge) and its stored release; the guess-ticket rules (one guess per wallet per day, at least 5 IMD, only orders that stay in through a bell, none from a cancel); the round-trip guard keyed on the identity a router reports, else the signer; the ring reward priced at the lower of the current ETH/IMD spot and the previous ring's stored spot; the refusal to ring before initialisation; and the ring OVERHEAD of 95,000 gas. Then everything else: any way to lose, lock or steal user funds in the books, cancels, claims, the closed-market exit, refunds of a missed bell, or the fee splits and burns; any way to make a bell impossible to ring, to ring one twice, or to ring it with a manipulated price, including the 120-bucket residual cap, the 10,600,000 gas floor and the 16,777,216 per-transaction gas cap; rounding in the clearing price and in residual pool fills; reward farming or draining of the bell purse; front-running or griefing of the bells and of sealed guesses; and anything the univ4_hook launch policy would refuse at admission. The tests run offline with forge test on Foundry 1.8.3 and 1.5.1.","parentJobId":null,"planHash":"0ee31b8600611f55ca42b6b50f7a02d0891dbb65f527c828471547107b74d11f","previousHash":"0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000","projectId":"d2e99057-f18f-44d5-852b-53d5bb1b4ca0","publication":{"commit":null,"deliveredAt":null,"repoUrl":null},"receiptIdentity":{"adapter":"0xde152afb7db5373f34876e1499fbd893a82dd336","chainId":1,"collection":"0x0000ec93127baa929e58e97dd0095a2bfb38ec1d","registry":"0x8004a169fb4a3325136eb29fa0ceb6d2e539a432"},"registry":"0xb6d0a187b050fa5bb0b87033a203f37becf4a775","research":[],"schema":"identitymd-work-v1","signals":[{"agentId":"52552","feedbackHash":"8bfbc38539c5781c8f0e355c158a0ce81843de27e74b4bc026f8f61fabcfb250","nodeKey":"audit_economics","submissionHash":"2603e69812add15176b4b768c2912cda4849ba448b2257c58e44de1ad4494230","tag1":"review:submission","tag2":"acceptance-v2","value":1},{"agentId":"52192","feedbackHash":"02b05a3fa5944035d63d0b553eb434f65876933fc7be9efefa519d440cf840b9","nodeKey":"audit_flow","submissionHash":"6294d0bc4afced4ef6f1183291db0a589a95f5644ee1ba2e5bf0ab3f4f08269d","tag1":"review:submission","tag2":"acceptance-v2","value":1},{"agentId":"52605","feedbackHash":"0702cce2e0ffd45758a0a6d2169c3f4ffcb2ad1ede331e02553df27d638584dd","nodeKey":"audit_judge","submissionHash":"643765c72cbec0f186344044aac3a2fadc2e80672a12a402d858d92d5b49241d","tag1":"review:submission","tag2":"acceptance-v2","value":1},{"agentId":"51027","feedbackHash":"84f6cb1a208b3db31f1b2817d480966762078216d161b48e481d28d1a13c6c0f","nodeKey":"audit_math","submissionHash":"0eea3f601a4d086a7a4744e5ed38e4b116d3599b8839500a640bae88f3214b53","tag1":"review:submission","tag2":"acceptance-v2","value":1},{"agentId":"54236","feedbackHash":"1844e02f255b0d217b7b4f62b2613d3d7ffb94e5ada63631e6dc4652c4195522","nodeKey":"audit_permissions","submissionHash":"435dd57c94d6ef72915468ddc085c5a5448544b44fc47405f4970f9a9c0cb5ae","tag1":"review:submission","tag2":"acceptance-v2","value":1}],"site":null,"snapshotHash":"40b48f64e17ac6d4e6a6b8ce675b2748b5d41d9f89aa9fe29ac50e1570c25570","state":"completed","submissions":[{"artifacts":[],"attempt":1,"bundleHash":null,"device":"61b4050710026370","findings":[{"citation":"resolved","description":"Audit-two finding 4 made _reward price a ring at the lower of the ETH/IMD spot now and the spot the previous ring stored. But the stored value is the previous ring's own in-transaction spot (line 281 stores `sp` before the min at line 284), not the figure that ring was actually priced at. A ringer who parks the ETH/IMD pool high inside the previous ring's transaction (by ringing it itself, or by sandwiching an honest ringer's transaction in the same block) stores the parked spot; at the next bell it parks the pool again and the min of two parked spots is the parked spot. So moving the pool inside the ringing transaction still raises the reward, one bell late, and a ringer who does this at every bell is paid the cap (3 IMD) instead of its gas at every bell after the first. The first ring after deployment has no stored price and is priced at the spot alone, so the very first ring is already inflatable. Cost to the attacker: two swaps' fees in the ETH/IMD pool per ring; with the thin pool of the project's own finding-4 test the round trip is far cheaper than the 2.6 IMD gain. Impact: the bell purse (10 % of bell fees plus 10 % of harvested IMD) is drained at up to 2 x 3 IMD a day instead of paying gas, which is the purse-farming the README says the fix prevents. Fix: store a figure the ringer cannot pick, e.g. keep lastSqrtPrice as the min that was actually used (`lastSqrtPrice = sp` after the min, so a parked spot can never enter the stored value), or better store min(stored, spot) and also require the spot read to be older than the current block (e.g. compare against the pool's spot at the previous ring AND refuse to raise the stored value by more than a bounded factor per ring).","line":281,"path":"src/BellRinger.sol","reproduction":"State: the canonical ETH/IMD pool (fee 1 %, spacing 200) at 100 IMD per ETH with one position [40000, 60000) of L = 1e18 (the pool of test/audit-two/AuditTwoFinding4.t.sol); the purse holds 10 IMD; base fee + tip allowance = 1 gwei. The `sender` passed to beforeSwap is simply the contract that called PoolManager.swap, and any contract can unlock the manager and swap. Nothing ties the reported address to a signature or to the account that paid, so a griefer's router can answer msgSender() with a victim's address, swap one wei in direction X, and write lastSwap[victim] = (block << 1) | X. The victim's own transaction later in the block, in direction !X, then reverts with RoundTrip. The previous key (tx.origin) could not be forged this way. Cost: one dust swap and its gas per victim per block, so a bot can keep a chosen account (a market maker, an arbitrageur, the hook's own emergencyExit users are unaffected since the hook's swaps skip beforeSwap) from trading in one direction block after block, or sandwich a victim's pending buy by first 'selling as' the victim. The comment's claim that 'a router can spend only the direction of an identity it reports' is exactly the problem: it can report anyone. Fix: only trust msgSender() from routers the hook can vouch for is impossible without a list, so either (a) key on tx.origin again but combine it with the reported identity, i.e. id = keccak256(tx.origin, reported) so a forged report lands on a key the victim never uses, or (b) accept a reported identity only when it equals tx.origin or when the router is the tx.origin's own code (sender == tx.origin), and fall back to keccak256(sender, reported) otherwise so routers are isolated from each other and from direct signers.","line":1069,"path":"src/MarketHoursHook.sol","reproduction":"State: pool (coin, IMD) at tick 0 with coin liquidity above and IMD liquidity below the price, day D at 12:00 after ringOpen, next block. Summary of this review:\n\n**Scope covered.** I read all six contracts in `src/` end to end and applied the Math Precision, Boundary and Numerical Gap passes to the deposit-cap weight and its stored release, the clearing scan, the fill ratios and their round-up charge bits, the residual payout and charge ratios, the 120-bucket cap arithmetic in assembly, the fee-inward limit, the fee splits, the unfilled-fee base, the breaker ratio, the ring reward formula, the game's distance and nearest-bucket math and the budget's date math. The core book arithmetic holds: every payout rounds down and every charge rounds up, refunds cannot underflow, the uint64 ratios cannot saturate, and the cap constant and shift logic in the residual limit are correct.\n\n**Findings written to `.imd-findings.json`** (three entries, two with Foundry proofs under `test/scratch/` that fail on this code):\n\n- **Medium, BellRinger line 281.** The min-of-two-spots fix for the ring reward stores the current ring's raw spot, not the figure it was priced at. A ringer who parks the ETH/IMD pool during one ring and again during the next is priced at the parked spot. In the project's own finding-4 pool the second moved ring pays the 3 IMD cap against 0.37 IMD for an honest ring. Proof: `test/scratch/RewardTwoRings.t.sol`.\n- **Medium, MarketHoursHook line 1069.** The round-trip guard now trusts any router's `msgSender()` answer. Any contract can report a victim's address, swap one wei, and make the victim's own opposite-direction swap revert with RoundTrip in that block. Proof: `test/scratch/RoundTripSpoof.t.sol`.\n- **Info, MarketHoursHook line 996.** The initial reference is not clamped the way the bell's reference is, so a launch at a tick within 21 ticks of the range edge leaves the first book unenterable until the first bell. I checked and ruled out the stronger version of this (an out-of-range bucket making a bell un-ringable): no sell can fit the cap at such a reference.\n\n**What I did not find.** No path to lose, lock or steal funds in the books, cancels, claims, exit or missed-bell refunds; no double ring; no overflow or wrong-direction rounding that leaks more than dust the reserve covers. I did not run the full existing suite or re-measure the 95,000 gas overhead and the gas floor figures. Those rest on the project's own gas tests.","treeHash":null,"usage":{"cachedInputTokens":1303929,"cost":{"source":"runtime","usdMicros":5928181},"inputTokens":354,"model":"claude-fable-5-1","outputTokens":50604,"runtime":"claude","turns":32,"wallClockMs":881302}},{"artifacts":[],"attempt":1,"bundleHash":null,"device":"809ae05b6282abad","findings":[{"citation":"resolved","description":"The ring reward is meant to be priced so a ringer cannot raise it by moving the ETH/IMD pool: `_reward` takes `min(live spot, lastSqrtPrice)`. But line 281 overwrites `lastSqrtPrice` with the raw live read BEFORE that min, so a ring that is paid the honest (previous) price still stores the manipulated high price. The next ring - the same day's other bell, or the next day's, and it can be rung by the same actor - is then priced at min(high, high) = high, up to RING_REWARD_CAP (3 IMD). The 'lower of the two' only bounds a single moved ring; it does not bound a two-ring campaign. The first ring is also priced from the spot alone (lastSqrtPrice == 0), so initialising the canonical ETH/IMD pool at an extreme price and ringing first also takes the cap. Concrete failing state: open at sqrtP = 20*2^96 (400 IMD/ETH, honest reward 0.065224992e18 IMD), close at sqrtP = 1000*2^96 (1,000,000 IMD/ETH; the close itself is paid the low 0.065579502e18 because it takes the min, but stores 1000*2^96), next open at 1000*2^96: expected, by the rule's stated purpose, the honest 0.065224992e18; actual 3e18, the cap, 46x the honest reward. The bell purse falls by 3 IMD instead of ~0.065 IMD; repeated every bell, the purse is drained at up to 6 IMD/day (plus 0.5 IMD per bridged push), and the ringer's only cost is holding the ETH/IMD spot at the inflated level, which is near zero for the pool's own liquidity provider. Fix: store the priced (lower) spot, not the raw read, e.g. `if (store) lastSqrtPrice = last == 0 || sp < last ? sp : last;`, or use a time-weighted/epoch-minimum reference. Tradeoff: a running minimum ratchets downward after a crash and underpay ringers when the price recovers, so a TWAP or a longer-window reference is preferable if the downside is unacceptable. No source, config, lib, or test file was modified.\n\n**Finding (medium): the ring reward stores the raw manipulated ETH/IMD spot, so the next ring is paid at the inflated price up to the 3 IMD cap.** `src/BellRinger.sol:281` writes `lastSqrtPrice = sp` before `_reward` takes `min(live spot, lastSqrtPrice)`. A ring paid the honest previous price still stores the manipulated high read. The next ring, which can be the same actor at the same day's other bell or the next day's, is then priced at the inflated value.\n\n- **Reproduction:** open at sqrtP `20·2^96` (400 IMD/ETH) pays `0.065224992e18` IMD; the close at `1000·2^96` (1,000,000 IMD/ETH) is correctly held to the previous read at `0.065579502e18`, but stores the high read; the next open at `1000·2^96` pays `3e18` IMD, the `RING_REWARD_CAP`, 46× the honest reward. The purse falls by 3 IMD instead of about 0.065 IMD per bell, so holding the ETH/IMD spot high drains it at up to 6 IMD per day plus 0.5 per bridged push. A sole liquidity provider of that pool bears almost none of the holding cost.\n- **Proof:** `forge test --match-path test/scratch/RewardEscalation.t.sol` fails with `3000000000000000000 != 65224992000000000`. It passes once the stored price is the lower of the two, for example `lastSqrtPrice = last == 0 || sp < last ? sp : last`. A running minimum ratchets down after a crash, so a TWAP or longer-window reference is preferable if that tradeoff is unacceptable.\n\nCoverage: I read all five contracts plus the vendored v4 and Uniswap hook behavior, and ran the 257-test suite (passing). I traced the eight prior fixes: the deposit-cap weight and stored release, ticket rules and one-guess-per-day monotonicity, router-keyed round-trip guard, pre-initialisation refusal, residual 120-bucket cap, 10.6M gas floor, and the 95,000 overhead all behaved as documented in the tested paths. The closing-bell residual is not blocked by `MarketClosed` because v4 skips the hook's own `beforeSwap` call when `msg.sender == address(self)`. Nothing authenticates that answer: `sender` is any contract that unlocked the manager, and its `msgSender()` is a view it writes itself. Under the previous tx.origin key an identity could be spent only by its own signer; now an attacker deploys a router whose `msgSender()` returns an address of the attacker's choosing, swaps one wei in direction X while reporting victim V, and `lastSwap[V]` becomes `(block.number << 1) | X`. When V's own swap in the opposite direction lands later in the same block, it reverts with `RoundTrip`: through a non-reporting router V keys on `tx.origin == V`, through Universal Router V keys on the reported `V`, so both of V's normal paths are blocked. One transaction can do this for any number of victims (set the reported address before each dust swap) and it can be repeated every block of the four-hour session; the cost is one 1-wei swap plus gas per victim per block. The guard thus binds honest users (test_I_reportedIdentityKeysTheGuardWhateverTheSigner) while any contract can both bypass it for itself (test_I_twoReportedAccountsOneSignerApart documents that one router answering two addresses is 'apart', so the atomic buy-then-sell is open to whoever writes a router) and weaponise it against others. The same two-identity trick also lets a trader push the price at the end of one block and pull it back at the start of the next inside one block, which feeds the per-block checkpoint mean that sets the next book's reference and the game's scored price. The spoofing is the new problem the fix opened; the bypass for one's own router is a design choice the tests record, so only the spoofing is counted here.","line":1069,"path":"src/MarketHoursHook.sol","reproduction":"State: pool initialised at tick 0 with liquidity on both sides, today's opening bell rung, block N inside the session. No permission bypass of a guarded function was found. The deposit-cap weight and its stored release, the ring refusal before initialisation, the one-guess-per-wallet check and the ringer's once-per-bell logic all hold as described.\n\n**Findings.**\n\n- **Medium, round-trip guard identity is self-reported** (`src/MarketHoursHook.sol:1069`). The fix for finding 3 keys the guard on whatever the router's `msgSender()` returns. Any contract can report a victim's address on a one-wei swap and so block that victim's opposite-direction swap for the block, repeatable every block and for many victims per transaction. The previous tx.origin key could not be spent by a stranger. Suggested fix: scope the reported identity to the router that reports it. A self-contained reproduction is in `test/scratch/RoundTripSpoof.t.sol` and in the finding's proof field; it was not run here, so the author should run it before relying on it.\n- **Low, reward price floor stores the manipulated spot** (`src/BellRinger.sol:281`). The lower-of-two rule stores the raw spot of each ring, so a ringer who pushes the ETH/IMD pool during two consecutive rings is paid at the pushed price on the second, up to the 3 IMD cap. The first priced ring is exposed the same way.\n- **Low, guess tickets remain cheap across wallets** (`src/MarketHoursHook.sol:363`). A 5 IMD passive order at the band's edge counts 1 % of the cap, is never reached, pays only the 0.5 % unfilled fee, and earns a ticket. One fresh wallet per guess costs 0.025 IMD per bucket covered. So the direction slot of every account is writable by every other account. Before this fix the key was tx.origin, which nobody else can forge; the fix of audit-two finding 3 opened this.\n\nAssumption violated: 'A router can spend only the direction of an identity it reports' is treated as harmless, but the identity it reports can be somebody else's, and the honest routers (and the tx.origin fallback) resolve that same victim to the same key.\n\nImpact: targeted, cheap denial of trading. One dust swap per block in the opposite direction, reported as the victim, makes every swap of the victim in the wanted direction revert with RoundTrip for that block, through any router that reports the victim and through any router that reports nothing when the victim signs (id = tx.origin = victim). A holder can be kept from selling for a whole four-hour session (about 1,200 blocks, one ~130k-gas dust swap each), and is left with the closing book or the 5 % emergencyExit. No funds are taken. The same weakness in the other direction makes the guard void for anyone who wants a round trip: a private router that reports a fresh address per swap does buy and sell in one transaction.\n\nFix that keeps the design: key the slot on the pair (sender, reported identity), e.g. lastSwap[keccak256(sender, id)] (and on tx.origin alone when the router reports nothing). Neither commit nor reveal checks that (guess - OFFSET) % 60 == 0, and reveal turns the tick difference into buckets by integer division, which rounds down. The settled bucket `ds.scored` is always on the grid (it comes from _nearestBucket or the bell's pStar), so a guess placed between two buckets, B + r with 0 < r < 60, is at |r| < 60 ticks from B and |60 - r| < 60 ticks from B + 60: distance 0 from both. It is also at distance 1 from B - 60 and B + 120, and so on: at every rank it covers two buckets where an on-grid guess covers one for distance 0.\n\nAssumption violated: the one-guess-per-wallet-per-day rule (audit-two finding 5, OneGuessPerDay) assumes a sealed guess names one bucket. An off-grid value is two adjacent guesses in one commit, at no extra cost and with one ticket. It weakly dominates both on-grid neighbours, so every wallet that knows it should guess off the grid, and a wallet that uses the grid (the site, the swarm's GUESS file) loses ties it would have won: with the open settled at B and an honest guess at B + 60, the honest wallet is at distance 1 and the off-grid wallet at B + 30 at distance 0 (3 points against 2); with the open settled at B + 60 both are at distance 0 and share first place.\n\nImpact: points only, no tokens; the game's ranking rule and the one-guess rule are defeated for free. The assumption is that the sampled spot is a price somebody had to trade to. It is not when spot sits on the lower edge of the pool's liquidity: the factory seeds a coin-only position above the launch price (test/Base.sol:254 does the same), so below it there is no liquidity, and a sell of any size, exact input, moves spot to its price limit while consuming nothing (v4 steps through empty ticks at zero amounts). The repository's own test_A2_referenceHeldInsideTheTickRange (test/AuditFixes.sol:85) shows the state: a dust sell takes spot below tick -880,000 and the next block's first swap checkpoints it. The first audit's fix clamps the reference to +-875,220 so the bell can still be priced; it does not stop the sample.\n\nConsequences of one such sample among n in the session: (1) the closing bell sets the next opening book's reference to the mean, shifted by about 887,272/n ticks. With few sampled blocks the band (reference +- 12,000 ticks) no longer contains the market: placeOrder refuses every bucket near the real price (BadBucket), and a sell is valued at the far reference, so no sell can reach MIN_ORDER; that opening book is dead for the day, at the cost of gas. (2) BellGame scores the day at a bucket nobody traded near, when the sample falls inside the thirty-minute window (at most ~150 samples, so a shift of at least 5,900 ticks). (3) For the rest of the attacker's block every other swap reverts with PriceMoved. (4) While closed, emergencyExit of 1 wei of coin does the same move, and the next bell's buy residual is then capped 120 buckets above the parked spot and fills nothing.\n\nPrecondition: spot on the lower edge of liquidity. That holds from launch until the first buy (the first session of the launch day), and again whenever the price returns to the launch price; otherwise the attacker must first sell through all the IMD in the pool.\n\nFix that keeps the design: do not sample a price nothing can trade at. So:\n(a) Upward: whoever rings bell k with the ETH/IMD spot pushed up stores the pushed value (and is paid the honest price that time). Ringing bell k+1 the same way gives min(pushed, pushed) = pushed, up to RING_REWARD_CAP. Every finding is traced from the source only, and the one Foundry proof included (for the game finding) is uncompiled and unrun. I also could not parse-check the JSON with a tool; I checked its structure by pattern search only.\n\n## Findings\n\n| # | Severity | Where | What fails |\n|---|---|---|---|\n| 1 | medium | `src/MarketHoursHook.sol:1069` | The round-trip guard trusts whatever address the calling router reports. An attacker's router can report a victim's address with a 1-wei swap, and the victim's opposite swap in that block reverts with `RoundTrip`. Repeated each block, it keeps a holder from selling for a session. This is new with the fix of audit-two finding 3. |\n| 2 | medium | `src/BellGame.sol:168` | `reveal` never checks the guess is on the 60-tick grid, and the distance is floored. A guess at tick 30 scores distance 0 against both bucket 0 and bucket 60, so one sealed guess covers two buckets. Points only, but it defeats the one-guess rule for free. |\n| 3 | low | `src/MarketHoursHook.sol:1036` | When spot sits on the lower edge of the coin-only seed, a dust sell moves it to the bottom of the tick range at no cost, and the next block samples that tick. In the repository's own harness state, two samples give a settled open and next reference of -443,640; the next opening book then refuses every order near the market. The first audit's clamp keeps the bell ringing but does not stop the sample. |\n| 4 | low | `src/BellRinger.sol:284` | The stored spot is the raw read of the previous ring's own transaction. A ringer who moves the ETH/IMD pool on two consecutive bells is paid the cap on the second; a ring made with the pool pushed down leaves the next ring paid almost nothing. Bounded by the 3 IMD and 0.5 IMD caps. |\n| 5 | info | `src/MarketHoursHook.sol:1067` | Yul evaluates `and()` right to left, so the reply-length check reads the previous call's return size (always 32). A 13–31 byte reply can be taken as an identity. No funds at risk. |\n\nEach entry in the file carries the failing input or state, expected against actual, and a fix that keeps the design.\n\n## What held\n\n- **Deposit-cap weight and stored release:** marketable orders count in full, passive ones fall to 1 % at the edge, and a cancel releases exactly `countedOf`.\n- **Ticket rules:** the 5 IMD minimum, kept-through-a-bell and no-ticket-from-a-cancel checks hold. A wallet's guessed days can only rise, so `OneGuessPerDay` cannot be sidestepped by commit order.\n- **Bells:** no bell can ring before initialisation or twice, and a book whose refunds have opened can no longer be rung.\n- **Residual cap:** the cap's direction and arithmetic are right, and the residual's accounting cannot revert the bell.\n- **Reentrancy:** I found no reentrancy path through the hook's unlock or the ringer's chores.\n\n## Coverage limits\n\n- The assigned control-flow passes (Execution Trace, Periphery, First Principles) were done by reading all six files in `src/` and parts of the tests.\n- Rounding and economics were read only where the control flow touched them; that is not a dedicated pass.\n- The gas figures (9,176,237 worst-case ring, `OVERHEAD` of 95,000, the 10,600,000 floor) are unverified: they need a run.\n- I had no text of the univ4_hook launch policy, so admission was checked only against what `test/Admission.sol` asserts.","treeHash":null,"usage":{"cachedInputTokens":1746276,"inputTokens":28,"model":"claude-fable-5-1","outputTokens":106507,"runtime":"claude","turns":38,"wallClockMs":1195054}},{"artifacts":[],"attempt":1,"bundleHash":null,"device":"c79042525fc4a50d","findings":[{"citation":"resolved","description":"Merged from audit_economics (a6ab1ef4), audit_math (6b3246f9), audit_permissions (b91ca157) and audit_flow (0b0cf8a6): one root cause. BellRinger._reward (src/BellRinger.sol:280-288) writes the raw in-transaction ETH/IMD spot `sp` into lastSqrtPrice at line 281, before the min at line 284. A ring whose own transaction moves the ETH/IMD pool is paid the stored (honest) price, as the audit-two finding 4 fix intends, but it leaves its moved spot as the stored value. At the next bell (four hours later, or the next day's open) a ring made with the pool moved the same way takes min(moved, moved) = moved and is paid up to RING_REWARD_CAP = 3 IMD instead of its gas. The same actor can ring every bell this way, so every ring after the first pays the cap; the very first ring (lastSqrtPrice == 0) is priced at the spot alone. Every pushBurnRewarded between those rings is also priced at min(spot, moved stored) and can take PUSH_REWARD_CAP. The mirror (store a spot pushed down) makes the next honest ring pay almost nothing, so the next bell has no paid ringer. README's claim ('moving the pool inside the ringing transaction cannot raise the reward') holds for one ring only. Impact: the bell purse (bellPurseBps of every bell fee and of harvested IMD) drains at up to 6 IMD a day plus 0.5 IMD per bridged push, for the cost of moving and restoring the 1 % ETH/IMD pool twice per ring (near zero in a thin pool or a range without liquidity). Nothing ties that answer to the signer or payer, so any deployed contract can write the direction slot of any account. Under the previous key (tx.origin) only the signer could spend its own slot. The victim's normal paths (a router that reports the victim, or one that reports nothing so id = tx.origin = victim) both resolve to the same key, so one 1-wei swap per block in the opposite direction, reported as the victim, makes every swap of the victim in the wanted direction revert with RoundTrip for that block. One transaction can do this for many victims, and it can be repeated each block of the session (e.g. to keep a holder from selling, or to block an arbitrageur ahead of a move); the victim is left with the closing book or emergencyExit's 5 % penalty. No funds are taken. The same mechanism lets anyone with their own router report a fresh identity per swap and skip the guard. Fix that keeps the stated design: scope a reported identity to the router reporting it, e.g. key lastSwap on keccak256(abi.encode(sender, reported)) when msgSender() answers and on tx.origin otherwise, so a router can only spend directions in its own namespace.","line":1069,"path":"src/MarketHoursHook.sol","proof":"// SPDX-License-Identifier: MIT\npragma solidity 0.8.26;\n\nimport {Test} from \"forge-std/Test.sol\";\nimport {PoolManager} from \"v4-core/src/PoolManager.sol\";\nimport {IPoolManager} from \"v4-core/src/interfaces/IPoolManager.sol\";\nimport {IUnlockCallback} from \"v4-core/src/interfaces/callback/IUnlockCallback.sol\";\nimport {PoolKey} from \"v4-core/src/types/PoolKey.sol\";\nimport {Currency} from \"v4-core/src/types/Currency.sol\";\nimport {BalanceDelta} from \"v4-core/src/types/BalanceDelta.sol\";\nimport {TickMath} from \"v4-core/src/libraries/TickMath.sol\";\nimport {PoolSwapTest} from \"v4-core/src/test/PoolSwapTest.sol\";\nimport {PoolModifyLiquidityTest} from \"v4-core/src/test/PoolModifyLiquidityTest.sol\";\nimport {MarketHoursHook} from \"src/MarketHoursHook.sol\";\nimport {MarketHoursCoin} from \"src/MarketHoursCoin.sol\";\n\ninterface IERC20S {\n    function transfer(address, uint256) external returns (bool);\n    function approve(address, uint256) external returns (bool);\n}\n\n/// A router anyone can deploy: it pays from its own balance and answers msgSender() with whatever address it is told.\ncontract SpoofRouter is IUnlockCallback {\n    IPoolManager internal immutable manager;\n    address public msgSender;\n\n    constructor(IPoolManager m) {\n        manager = m;\n    }\n\n    function swapAs(address reported, PoolKey memory key, IPoolManager.SwapParams memory p) external {\n        msgSender = reported;\n        manager.unlock(abi.encode(key, p));\n        msgSender = address(0);\n    }\n\n    function unlockCallback(bytes calldata data) external returns (bytes memory) {\n        (PoolKey memory key, IPoolManager.SwapParams memory p) = abi.decode(data, (PoolKey, IPoolManager.SwapParams));\n        BalanceDelta d = manager.swap(key, p, \"\");\n        _settle(key.currency0, d.amount0());\n        _settle(key.currency1, d.amount1());\n        return \"\";\n    }\n\n    function _settle(Currency c, int128 amt) internal {\n        if (amt < 0) {\n            manager.sync(c);\n            IERC20S(Currency.unwrap(c)).transfer(address(manager), uint128(-amt));\n            manager.settle();\n        } else if (amt > 0) {\n            manager.take(c, address(this), uint128(amt));\n        }\n    }\n}\n\ncontract RoundTripSpoofTest is Test {\n    uint256 internal constant D = 20_400;\n    PoolManager internal manager;\n    MarketHoursHook internal hook;\n    MarketHoursCoin internal coin;\n    MarketHoursCoin internal imd;\n    PoolKey internal key;\n    PoolSwapTest internal router;\n    SpoofRouter internal spoof;\n    address internal victim = makeAddr(\"victim\");\n    address internal attacker = makeAddr(\"attacker\");\n\n    function setUp() public {\n        vm.warp(D * 1 days + 1 hours);\n        manager = new PoolManager(address(this));\n        coin = new MarketHoursCoin(\"Coin\", \"C\");\n        imd = new MarketHoursCoin(\"IMD\", \"IMD\");\n        MarketHoursHook.Params memory p;\n        p.manager = manager;\n        p.factory = address(this);\n        p.imd = address(imd);\n        p.coin = address(coin);\n        p.feeWallet = address(0xFEE);\n        p.burnExecutor = address(0xB0);\n        p.launchFees = address(0x1F);\n        p.intake = address(0x17);\n        p.maxBlockMoveBps = 100;\n        p.maxSwapImd = 1e30;\n        (p.networkBps, p.feeWalletBps, p.swarmFeeBps, p.burnBps, p.bellPurseBps) = (2000, 2000, 2000, 2000, 2000);\n        p.launchNumber = 1;\n        bytes memory init = abi.encodePacked(type(MarketHoursHook).creationCode, abi.encode(p));\n        bytes32 h = keccak256(init);\n        uint160 flags = (1 << 13) | (1 << 7); When spot sits on the lower edge of the pool's liquidity (the launch seed is coin-only above the launch price, so this holds from launch until the first buy, and again whenever the price returns there), an exact-input sell of dust moves spot to its price limit (tick -887,272) while consuming nothing, and the next block's first swap (anyone's, including the attacker's own dust buy back) samples that tick. With n samples in the session the mean moves by about 887,272/n ticks. Effects: (1) BellGame scores the day at a bucket nobody traded near; (2) the closing bell sets the next opening book's reference far from the market, so placeOrder refuses every bucket near the real price (BadBucket) and sells are valued at the far reference (BelowMinOrder): that book is dead for the day; (3) for the rest of the dust-seller's block other swaps revert with PriceMoved. The ±875,220 clamp from the first audit keeps the bell priceable but does not stop the sample. Cost: two dust swaps and their gas. Fix that keeps the design: do not sample a price nothing can trade at, e.g. skip the counters (and the stored checkpoint price) when the pool's in-range liquidity is zero (StateLibrary.getLiquidity), or hold each sample within maxBlockMoveBps of the previous one.","line":1036,"path":"src/MarketHoursHook.sol","reproduction":"Self-contained harness (PoolManager, hook CREATE2-mined at its flag address, pool initialised by the factory at bucket 0, launch-style coin-only seed over buckets [0, 12000), L = 1e24). For an initial bucket in [887,251, 887,272] (or the mirror) _nearestBucket rounds to 887,280, one bucket past TickMath.MAX_TICK. The specialist said the first bell still rings and resets the reference; it does not. With no checkpoint (no swap can happen before the opening bell, beforeSwap reverts AwaitingBell), _scan's zero-match path takes r.a = lastCleared unclamped, r.p = 887,280, and _ring's `_sqrtAt(r.p)` (line 653) reverts InvalidTick. lastCleared changes only in _ring and checkpoints only in beforeSwap, so the bell never rings and the market never opens: the pool is dead for good. Sells into the first book revert (InvalidTick); buys are accepted (a buy needs no price) and are refunded whole after the deadline, so order funds are not lost, and LPs can still withdraw. Precondition: the factory initialises at an extreme price (about 1.0001^887,251 IMD per coin, or its inverse), so this is low; the same unclamped reference also lets buckets above MAX_TICK into a band whose reference is within 12,000 ticks of the edge. The audit-two finding 5 fix requires 5 IMD of value, an order kept through a rung bell, and one guess per wallet per day. A 5 IMD buy at ref - 12,000 (or a sell at ref + 12,000) meets all three. The bell never reaches it, so at claim it pays only the 0.5 % unfilled-order fee (line 477), 0.025 IMD, and gets the rest back. It counts only 1 % of its value (0.05 IMD) toward the deposit cap (line 351), so even the launch-week 1,000 IMD cap admits 20,000 of them without crowding real orders. Using one fresh wallet per bucket, covering the 41 buckets within ±1,200 ticks costs 41 x 0.025 = 1.025 IMD plus gas and 205 IMD of capital held for a few hours, and the matching wallet reveals after settle, which is the finding-5 pattern spread over wallets. Points only, and Sybil wallets are a limit of any per-wallet rule, so this is informational. It does show that the 5 IMD 'real stake' is only locked capital, with 0.025 IMD actually spent. Every one was reproduced with Foundry 1.8.3 against this commit. The 12 specialist findings came down to these 7 once duplicates were merged; I dropped none.\n\n**Medium**\n1. **Ring reward can still be pushed to the 3 IMD cap** (`src/BellRinger.sol:281`; merges 4 specialist findings). Each ring stores the raw ETH/IMD spot it read before taking the lower of the two prices. So a ring made with the pool moved still leaves the moved price stored. The next bell, rung with the pool moved the same way, pays 3 IMD where the honest ring pays 0.0652 IMD. The specialist's proof fails on this code with `3000000000000000000 != 65224992000000000`; I attached it.\n2. **Anyone can block another account's swaps for a block** (`src/MarketHoursHook.sol:1069`; merges 3). This problem comes from the last audit's fix. The round-trip guard trusts whatever address a router reports through `msgSender()`, and any contract can be a router. A 1-wei swap reported as the victim makes the victim's own opposite-direction swap revert with `RoundTrip` for the rest of that block. My own test, `RoundTripSpoof.t.sol`, fails as expected, and its control (the victim's own round trip is still refused) passes. I attached it.\n\n**Low**\n3. **An off-grid guess counts as exact for two buckets** (`src/BellGame.sol:168`). A guess at tick 30 scores distance 0 whether the open settles at bucket 0 or 60, which gets round the one-guess-per-day rule. The attached proof fails as stated.\n4. **A free swap into the empty price range below the launch position is counted as a price** (`MarketHoursHook.sol:1036`). Two dust swaps moved the game's scored bucket and the next book's reference to −443,640. That puts the band nowhere near the market, so orders at the real price are refused with `BadBucket`.\n5. **The initial reference isn't held inside the tick range** (`MarketHoursHook.sol:996`). The specialist was wrong about the impact, and it's worse than they said. If the pool opens at bucket 887,260, `ringOpen` reverts with `InvalidTick(887280)`, so the market never opens at all. It does need an absurd launch price, so I kept it at low. Buy orders still go in and are refunded in full after the deadline.\n\n**Info**\n6. **The `msgSender()` reply-length check runs before the call it is meant to check** (`MarketHoursHook.sol:1067`). Yul evaluates `and()`'s arguments right to left, so the check sees the previous call's reply size. In the test, a 20-byte reply was taken as an identity.\n7. **A guess ticket at the band's edge costs 0.025 IMD and counts only 0.05 IMD toward the deposit cap.** I measured both figures. Getting more guesses this way needs one wallet each, which any per-wallet rule allows, so I kept it as info.\n\n**What I checked and what I didn't:**\n- I checked how the last audit's fixes behave: the ring reward pricing, the round-trip guard, the ticket rules, and that the 5 IMD ticket and cap weights compute as stated. Cancels release exactly what each order counted, and a bell refuses to ring before initialisation (`NotEnterable`).\n- I did not re-measure the 95,000-gas `OVERHEAD`, the 10,600,000 gas floor or the 120-bucket residual cap.\n- I did not run the full suite on Foundry 1.5.1.\n- I did not do a separate full pass over the clearing-price and residual rounding, or the fee splits.\n- No helpers were used.\n- My scratch tests are in `test/scratch/`; nothing else in the repository was changed.","treeHash":null,"usage":{"cachedInputTokens":1780110,"cost":{"source":"runtime","usdMicros":1895420},"inputTokens":38,"model":"claude-opus-5-5","outputTokens":31312,"runtime":"claude","turns":22,"wallClockMs":572800}}],"verification":[]}
