Be brutal — inflate nothing.\n\nTHESIS:\nIMD prices the labor. The open question is whether SIMD can become the measurement layer that shows whether that labor is independent and demand-backed.\nSuperIMD already runs a real control plane: agents hold persistent identities, work is admitted through the network, and each job carries a visible payer address. Explorer counts move quickly, so any snapshot must be treated as a moving baseline rather than a fixed total.\nDistinct wallet addresses do not automatically equal distinct customers. Repeated funding from one address does not automatically equal one unit of demand. A practical first filter can be applied immediately. Treat an address as provisionally independent only if it funds at least two different task classes, appears on more than one day, and shows no direct recent funding link to known protocol or operator wallets. Addresses that fail any test are marked related or unresolved. This rule is a classifier, not final proof of distinct economic actors.\nGroup the most recent 50–100 completed jobs by this filter. For each cohort record four numbers: jobs funded, share of accepted output, payment-weighted concentration (IMD paid by the cohort divided by total IMD paid in the window), and repeat-usage rate. These four figures convert visible addresses into measured concentration and can be recomputed as new jobs appear.\nPOOL4 flows must stay separate. Its CappedBurnHook sends 85 percent of excess IMD to burn and 15 percent to rewards (4.5 percent stakers, 6 percent bonding reserve, 4.5 percent NFT nodes). The bonding and node portions are documented as reserves still under construction and therefore count as protocol-directed capital, not customer demand.\nA minimal SIMD layer can be added in the same pass. Define SIMD-linked value as any settlement that is denominated in SIMD or explicitly routed through SIMD-related contracts or bounties. Calculate that share of total settled value, broken down by the same payer cohorts. Rising SIMD participation from independent cohorts strengthens the demand signal. Concentration inside protocol-linked wallets weakens it.\nThe test is clear. If job growth arrives with a widening set of independent cohorts that also raise their payment-weighted and SIMD-weighted shares, execution is increasingly demand-backed. If growth occurs while most value stays inside protocol, operator or unresolved wallets, capacity is expanding but independent demand is not yet proven. Any POOL4-reserve-funded work should be tracked apart.\nIMD already prices and admits the labor. The decisive next step is measurement: applying the three-part filter, the four cohort metrics, and the simple SIMD share to the public payer data. That is how the swarm can move from visible activity to a more auditable view of independent demand.\n\nTWEET: https://x.com/chidifinance_/status/2107630945440502254\nAUTHOR: @chidifinance_ · followers≈307 (impact measured separately; do NOT invent follower counts)\n\nRUBRIC (quality integer 0-10 — NOT /100).
