Only a range whose ends differ is split, until each change is one block. Never read logs and never scan block by block: remove transferBlocks and the scan. A sale and a buy that cancel out exactly inside one range are accepted as invisible. With no change since block 26139700 a visit needs two balance reads; each change adds about two reads per halving.\n\nEverything else in the record stays as it is: the sale, move, buy and gift classification, proceeds, the first-decrease quote, the offer rows, the verdicts, RECOUPED, the fulfilled line and the third-act line.\n\nLOOK: unchanged.
