# Pepe2Pepe promo / explainer

## Deliverables

- `video.mp4` — 40.000 seconds, 1920×1080, 16:9, 30 fps, H.264 High/yuv420p, AAC stereo 44.1 kHz, faststart enabled. Size: 2.1 MiB.
- `hero.png` — 1920×1080 PNG poster still from the held final branded frame. Size: 0.5 MiB.

The video is designed for sharing on X and is fully understandable with sound off. It contains no voiceover, narration, spoken words, singing, or text-to-speech.

## Production method

This is a fresh, original motion-graphics production. `src/render.js` builds the timeline as animated SVG scenes, rasterizes frames with Sharp, and pipes them into the included static FFmpeg binary for the final MP4 encode. The scenes cover the hero entrance, FIFO queue, 6+4 YES backing, 8 opposing NO units, 8 matched units, the 6→12 and 2→4 gross payout illustration, the claim-after-close refund of 2 unused units, the launch snapshot, and the final brand hold.

Run from the project root:

```sh
FONTCONFIG_FILE="$PWD/.cache/fonts.conf" \
FONTCONFIG_PATH="$PWD/.cache" \
node src/render.js
```

The renderer needs Node.js, Sharp, and FFmpeg. The working directory contains the downloaded/installable tools used during production so the render does not depend on network access at encode time.

## Asset and audio provenance

- Official hero artwork downloaded from `https://pepe2pepe.fun/brand/pepe2pepe-v2.png`.
- Official face asset downloaded from `https://pepe2pepe.fun/brand/pepe-face.png`.
- Space Grotesk font downloaded from the Google Fonts repository and used locally for embedded/local rendering. The supplied Barlow Condensed URL was unavailable in the requested repository path, so the large headings use the locally available Space Grotesk family for a consistent fallback.
- Music and matching/refund cues are procedurally synthesized in `src/render.js` as a quiet, rights-clear stereo instrumental pad with soft sine/percussive tones. No third-party music or private analytics screenshot is included.

## Factual sources and boundaries

The mechanics are based on the supplied brief and the public product/guide pages: `https://pepe2pepe.fun` and `https://pepe2pepe.fun/guide`. The film explicitly labels the 50/50 view as an illustration and uses stake units, not dollars, volume, trading totals, or revenue. It shows FIFO backing, a partial match, locked matched stakes, claim-after-close unused backing, and fees may apply. It does not promise automatic settlement, fee-free refunds, guaranteed returns, security, audits, or future-customer-funded payouts.

The final metrics scene shows only the owner-reported “13 markets created” statistic and “789 active users” labeled “Google Analytics snapshot.” The supplied analytics screenshot had no visible date range; the film does not assign a date range to the 789 figure and does not claim it represents traders or wallet holders. The optional line about no major hiccups is clearly marked as a founder-reported launch update and not an audit/security claim.

## Checks and limitations

Verified with the bundled `ffprobe`: MP4 container, 40.000 seconds, 1920×1080, 30/1 video rate, H.264 video, yuv420p pixel format, AAC audio, stereo, 44.1 kHz. The output is below the 64 MiB per-file limit and the two declared outputs total well below 128 MiB.

Representative frames were extracted and inspected at 2s, 8s, 14s, 22s, 28s, and 34s for readable typography, YES/NO color consistency, unit counts, match direction, refund arrow, and metric labels. This environment supports frame inspection but not real-time human playback review; timing was checked from the encoded frame rate/duration and storyboard timestamps. The video uses a procedural audio bed; no speech is present.
