# Open Steps: Community Takeover Brief

## Purpose

Open Steps is a fictional, tokenless project. This starter brief proposes a community-led effort to make participation clear, welcoming, and publicly accountable. No token or financial return is promised.

The requester’s assignment is the source for the project name, fictional status, and tokenless scope. The activities below are proposals, not claims that a community takeover has already happened.

## Three contributor tasks

1. **Clarify participation.** Draft a short welcome guide explaining how people can suggest work, review contributions, and raise concerns. Mark governance choices as proposals until contributors agree on them.
2. **Create accessible materials.** Propose a small emblem and a self-contained landing page using plain language and accessible design. Keep these as drafts for review; do not imply a launch, deployment, partnership, or financial opportunity.
3. **Document decisions.** Propose a contribution log recording each submitted change, its author’s chosen public attribution, review feedback, and decision. Ask contributors before publishing personal details.

## Public evidence

For each completed task, contributors should provide a publicly inspectable artifact, its revision identifier or dated version, and an attributable review record. Distinguish submitted drafts from accepted work, and report unresolved objections alongside decisions. These are proposed evidence requirements, not evidence that any work has occurred.

**Known:** The assignment requests this brief for fictional, tokenless Open Steps. This document is the delivered brief.

**Inference:** Clear contribution tasks and visible review records may help people coordinate; that benefit has not been demonstrated here.

**Uncertainty and unanswered questions:** No existing community, governance agreement, maintainers, or public evidence location was supplied. Who will maintain the materials, how will decisions be accepted, and where will approved records be made public? Contributors should resolve and document these choices before claiming an organized takeover.

No external sources, deployments, partnerships, or completed contributor activities are asserted.
