- **Grade: 6 / 10.** This is a careful, accurate, well-cited outline of how things work, but it adds little new. It falls short of the pay bar (8).

## 1. Verdict in one paragraph

Most of the thesis's specific claims check out against primary sources. Where it is wrong, the errors are about which page says what, not about how the system works. Its best feature is discipline: it keeps separate things that other posts blur together, such as a 402 versus a quality signal, an accepted verdict versus a signed attestation, $SIMD versus sIMD, and one collision versus useful work.

Most of that discipline consists of disclaimers, though, not an argument. The conclusion is cut down on purpose to "IMD makes labor pay-to-enter and $SIMD can fund a job and recompute one proof", which is close to a summary of the docs. There is no tradeoff analysis, no model, no data beyond copied counts, and no implication a reader could act on or argue with. That fits the rubric's 6 ("some real points, still thin originality"). It reaches toward 7, but the missing tradeoffs and one misattributed source hold it back.

## 2. Claim-by-claim evidence

Labels: **FACT** = I confirmed it in a primary source. **PARTIAL** = true, with a caveat. **MISATTRIBUTED** = true somewhere else, not on the page cited. **UNVERIFIED** = I found no source.

| # | Thesis claim | Status | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | `job.open` costs 0.5 IMD, paid over x402 with Permit2, and appears on the paid-request table | FACT | imd.fun/docs: "job.open · 0.5 IMD A job"; "Paid requests (… x402/Permit2)"; "402 Payment required; carries the x402 challenge" |
| 2 | The hire surface repeats the 0.5 IMD price | FACT | si-md.xyz `app.js?v=60` renders `<p class="token-price">0.5 IMD</p>` and "job 0.5 IMD" |
| 3 | A 402 is a payment challenge, not a quality score | FACT (framing) | The docs' status table defines 402 only as payment required |
| 4 | There are 2,000 NFTs, one active device each, and the holder pays the model | UNVERIFIED | Not found on imd.fun/docs or the imd.fun home page. `/swarm` currently lists 663 seat entries. The docs do confirm "Bind a device to a seat, and a seat to an ERC-8004 agent" |
| 5 | A seat must be an ERC-8004 agent before it can take work | FACT | Docs, "Pairing and agents" section |
| 6 | `GET /jobs/:id/submissions` returns hash, accepted, and verdict | FACT | Docs: "Every attempt: hash, accepted, verdict, oracleResult, findings, usage, artifacts" |
| 7 | The signed object is `GET /oracle/requests/:id/attestation` | FACT | Docs: "EIP-712 {requestId, domain, types, primaryType, message, signature, signer, attestedAt}. 404 not_attested until signed" |
| 8 | `/health` exposes connectedDaemons, workingNow, and activeEnrollments, and `/swarm` exposes job counts | FACT | Live read of api.imd.fun |
| 9 | Oct 5 counts: 594 connected, 608 enrolled, 8,208 completed, 8,389 tracked | SUPERSEDED (as the thesis itself says will happen) | 2026-10-06 02:11 UTC read: `connectedDaemons` 638, `activeEnrollments` 644, `jobStates.completed` 8,584, `counts.jobs` 8,771. I can't verify the Oct 5 figures after the fact, but they are plausible given the size of the change |
| 10 | $SIMD is the Robinhood Chain token at 0x577bc74a…e303ae (superimdc.xyz) | FACT | superimdc.xyz: "Issued on Robinhood Chain. Symbol SIMD. Contract 0x577bc74a99aabbd43a354668dc7b7ed4b5e303ae", Chain ID 4663, ERC-20 |
| 11 | "What $SIMD adds is on its own site": swarm tracking, paying job costs from protocol fees, thesis scoring, and the collision ladder, all cited to si-md.xyz | PARTIAL / MISATTRIBUTED | si-md.xyz's JS app does include a thesis view, a "Truncated-hash collision ladder… No bounty contract — verify the math", and a vault that pays jobs in IMD. The words "protocol fees … cover 100% of Identity.md job costs" appear on **superimdc.xyz**, not on si-md.xyz. **Also, the static HTML of si-md.xyz shows "CA: 0xbb0c1f82a2ea0253ea3d91c2f05caded82133415", a different address from the 0x577b… the thesis calls *the* $SIMD token.** The thesis never mentions or resolves this |
| 12 | "The prize follows a recomputed proof" | PARTIAL | The site says there is *no bounty contract*. Payout depends on whoever runs the site, not on any on-chain enforcement. "Recompute" is something a reader can do. The payout itself is trust-based |

## 3. Inferences (mine, not the thesis's)

- **The thesis's main point is better supported than it argues.** The live `/health` shows `orders.paid` 1,238, `expired` 1,204, and `payment_failed` 20 (19 because a payment permission expired). So roughly half of quoted orders never pay. That suggests the price really is filtering at the door, which is what the thesis asserts. It is also exactly the kind of evidence the thesis left out.
- **The address split matters for a post about telling things apart.** A thesis built on "$SIMD is not sIMD" and "a sentence with no route is not part of the claim" cites as $SIMD's "own site" a page whose static contract address does not match the token it names. A reader following its own rule would flag this. The author didn't.
- **"Pays for that work" is a claim the site makes, not a proven flow.** The thesis itself says it reports only what the site says. Even so, it never routes the money: there is no vault address, no transfer, and no ratio of fees to jobs. A vault panel exists on si-md.xyz. Linking one payout transaction would have turned the claim into evidence.

## 4. Strengths

- Named, correct routes (`/jobs/:id/submissions`, `/oracle/requests/:id/attestation`, `/health`, `/swarm`) with correct field names.
- Honest about epistemic limits: a 402 ≠ competence, a verdict ≠ general skill, an accepted verdict ≠ an attestation, and one collision ≠ useful work per IMD.
- Dates its numbers and says live reads replace them, which they now have.
- Separates $SIMD from sIMD and gives the token's chain and contract.

## 5. Weaknesses

- **Thin originality.** About 80% of it restates the docs and sites. The structure repeats "X is Y. It does not show Z." The negations are correct, but they replace analysis rather than support it.
- **No tradeoffs.** It never discusses whether 0.5 IMD is the right price, who absorbs failed or expired payments, whether the seat count limits throughput, or what happens to $SIMD funding if fee volume falls below what jobs cost.
- **One misattribution and one unexamined contradiction:** the protocol-fee wording versus the site cited, and the 0xbb0c… versus 0x577b… addresses.
- **The 2,000-seat cap and the device rule** are stated without a route, which breaks the thesis's own closing rule.
- **The conclusion is so narrow it's nearly empty.** It can't be wrong, but it also says very little.

## 6. Open questions

1. Which contract is canonical for $SIMD: 0x577b… on Robinhood Chain (superimdc.xyz) or 0xbb0c… (si-md.xyz header)? Are they the same project on different chains, or different tokens?
2. Is there an on-chain record of $SIMD protocol fees actually paying an IMD `job.open`? What is the vault address?
3. Where is the 2,000-NFT / one-device rule written down? Total supply of collection `0x0000ec93…ec1d` was not checked.
4. Has any collision-ladder prize been paid, and to whom?

## 7. Score rationale

- It clears 5: real mechanisms with specific IMD/SIMD claims.
- It earns 6 for technical honesty and correct routes.
- It misses 7 because there are no tradeoffs, one source is misattributed, and a cap is asserted without a route.
- It is far from 8: no new synthesis or model, and no implication a reader could act on.

{"quality":6,"impactNote":"Useful corrective for IMD/SIMD discourse: it separates the 402 payment gate from quality, accepted verdicts from signed oracle attestations, $SIMD from sIMD, and a collision proof from useful work, with mostly correct public routes. It adds no new model or data, so its impact is mainly hygiene, not insight.","notes":"Strengths: correct routes and fields (/jobs/:id/submissions, /oracle/requests/:id/attestation, /health, /swarm), 0.5 IMD job.open via x402/Permit2 confirmed in the docs, dated live counts that it correctly expects to be superseded (Oct 6 read: 638 connected, 644 enrolled, 8,584 completed, 8,771 jobs). Weaknesses: mostly restates the docs with repeated 'X does not show Y' negations; no tradeoff analysis (fee level, ~1,204 expired vs 1,238 paid orders, fee sufficiency); attributes 'protocol fees cover job costs' to si-md.xyz when that wording is on superimdc.xyz; never addresses that si-md.xyz's static HTML shows a different CA (0xbb0c...) from the 0x577b... token; 2,000-NFT/one-device cap stated with no route (unverified); collision prize has no bounty contract, so 'prize follows proof' is trust-based. Conclusion is narrow to the point of saying little.","flags":["thin"]}
