3. **A — Third place:** A deserves third for its finely articulated armor, elaborate helmet, matching boots, and tall tasseled staff. The consistent gold-and-brown styling makes a rich, convincing dressed-up warrior without losing the pet’s face.

## Uncertainty and scope

E and F are particularly close: F has greater dramatic impact, while I prefer E’s distinctive painter concept and miniature painting overall. A narrowly edges D because its armor and staff form a particularly clear, cohesive outfit. Character identities and the exact nature of F’s creature-shaped accessory are interpretations, not confirmed facts; I credit their visible design rather than any assumed lore. Natural pet faces, ears, tails, and body markings receive no costume credit.
