# Fren Pet Costume Contest 2026 — Group 2 — Judge 3

## What I looked at
I looked at these images myself:
- the collage (`FPCC-2026-actual-entries-A-G.png`, 2136×1452)
- the normal-pet reference (`Fren-Pet-normal-appearance-reference.png`)
- the close-up crop of each entry, A through G (`FPCC-2026-entry-{A..G}.png`)

All of them came from `https://fren-pet-h2026-collage.rckmtlshared.chatgpt.site/`. Every entry was clear enough to judge. I didn't open any other judge's report or ballot.

How to read this report: the **Observation** column describes what is visible in the image. The **Impression** column gives my opinion. Where I name a pet species or a character the costume suggests, that is my guess, based on the reference sheet or on how the costume looks.

## Why F wins
F has the strongest "wow" and the most going on. The samurai suit is complete and matching: horned helmet, gold dragon shoulder piece and layered armor. It adds a flaming sword, a flame aura and a whole shadow-beast companion. The companion uses the Hat Crafter for far more than headwear, and the outfit still sits naturally on the pet.

## Why A is runner-up
A is a very well-made armored monkey warrior. The red-and-gold armor is highly detailed, and the crowned helmet and staff match it. The whole costume suits the pet's monkey face and ears. It is a little less dramatic than F, with no second prop or companion.

## Why E takes third
E has the most charming and instantly recognizable idea. Wig, beard, shirt, jeans and boots make a full outfit. The brush and the easel with a finished landscape are two clear props that tell a story.

## Close calls and uncertainty
- **A vs E for second place** was close. E has more props and a more playful idea, but A's armor is more detailed and changes the pet more completely.
- **D vs E** was also close. D hides the pet completely, but it is small and dark, so it is harder to read than E.
- Which species each pet is (monkey in A, penguin in C, OG pets in E and G) is my guess from the reference sheet. It did not affect the ranking.
- I gave no numerical scores, and this ballot is from this one judge only.
