# Fren Pet Costume Contest 2026 — Group 2, Judge 5

Judgments concern visible costume elements only; no other judges’ reports were consulted.

- **[A](https://fren-pet-h2026-collage.rckmtlshared.chatgpt.site/FPCC-2026-entry-A.png):** A gold-and-red crested helmet accompanies layered shoulder, torso and leg armor, with a tall gold-banded staff and red tassel. An impressive, cohesive warrior transformation; the armor frames the exposed pet face neatly.

**Preference order:** F > E > A > D > G > C > B

**Winner — F:** F deserves to win for the unified gold-and-purple ensemble: layered armor fits around the visible face, while the glowing curved sword and dark companion extend the costume into a memorable fantasy character. Its detailed silhouette delivers the strongest overall wow factor.

**Runner-up — E:** E earns runner-up through a distinctive, immediately readable painter transformation. The wig, beard, clothing and brush work naturally together, and the landscape on the easel is a particularly rewarding detail within a costume-related prop.

**Third place — A:** A earns third for its beautifully coordinated crested helmet, layered armor and ornamented staff. The red-and-gold details create a convincing complete outfit while keeping the pet face clearly framed.

**Uncertainty and close choices:** F and E are close: E has the more distinctive everyday-character concept, while I prefer F’s overall visual spectacle. A narrowly leads D because its armor and staff read more clearly as a coordinated worn outfit. Bob Ross, spectral witch and historical captain are interpretations, not confirmed character identities; G’s handheld item is telescope-like. I treat F’s adjacent dark figure as a visible costume-related companion, without assuming how it was implemented. Normal pet features and screenshot quality receive no credit or penalty.
