# SIMD Discovery Arena — artwork and constraint report

## Question and answer

Does the delivered image depict Einstein Pepe operating the Identity.md control room while satisfying the requested visual constraints?

**The final artwork meets the measured size and pure black/white requirements, and visibly depicts the requested scene and labels.** Its semantic compliance is a local visual assessment, with the uncertainties below. No independent reviewer has certified it.

The deliverable is [simd-discovery-arena.png](simd-discovery-arena.png). The user’s assignment is the source of the requirements; the actual image and local check outputs are the primary evidence about this deliverable. No external technical or current-events claims are needed, and no web research was performed.

## Evidence by requirement

Locations below are approximate fractions of the final image, measured from its upper-left corner. Visual observations are attributed to the creating assistant’s inspection of the final exported PNG on 2026-10-09.

| Requirement | Attributable evidence | Assessment type and result |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 1920×1080 image | PNG header and decoded scanlines checked by [check-image.py](../scripts/check-image.py); recorded in [validation.json](validation.json). | Measured fact: pass. |
| Pure black-and-white engraving | PNG is opaque, 1-bit grayscale, without a palette or color profile. It contains 1,200,736 black pixels and 872,864 white pixels. Inspection shows dense parallel cuts and crosshatching on clothing, architecture and console. | Measured fact: exactly two pixel values. Visual judgment: engraving style achieved. |
| Einstein Pepe operating Identity.md control room | Center: frog-like broad mouth, white unruly hair and moustache, polygonal eye mask, hands operating physical levers. The large plaque above reads “Identity.md”. | Visible features are observations; recognizing the hybrid character is an inference from those features. |
| Geometric-mask agents only; no robots | Left: prominent triangle, quadrilateral and hexagon masks. Central operator also wears an angular mask. Figures have cloth sleeves and organic hands; no visible mechanical bodies. | Visual pass for identifiable foreground agents. Background occlusion limits an exhaustive claim; see uncertainty. |
| SIMD vault receiving fees | Rightmost quarter: large vault labeled “SIMD”; two “FEES” slips along the route into its slot, the upper slip overlapping the opening. Motion strokes trail behind the slips. | Labels and placement observed. Receipt/direction inferred from overlap and motion strokes. |
| Job ticket mid-air being paid at 100% | Upper-right center: unattached ticket above the console, clear “JOB” and “PAID 100%” text, check mark and motion strokes. | Text and separation observed. Full payment is symbolically depicted; the still cannot demonstrate a transaction over time. |
| No charts | Console contains physical levers and switches, with no visible plotted data or dashboards. | Local visual inspection: no charts found. |
| No neon | Only black/white ink-like marks; hanging lamps are depicted by engraved linework. | Local visual inspection: no neon treatment found. |
| No coin piles | Fees use flat paper slips. No coin piles are visible. | Local visual inspection: pass. |
| No readable paragraphs | Visible copy consists of the arena title, room plaque, vault label, ticket labels and “FEES”. | Local visual inspection: no readable paragraphs found. |

## Facts, inferences and uncertainty

**Facts:** The final file’s dimensions, encoding, pixel counts and digest are verified locally. The visible short labels match the requested concepts. The image is a generated illustration, not a record of an operating system or financial event.

**Inferences:** The central character is recognizable as Einstein Pepe through the combined frog face, hair and moustache. Paper slips at the vault slot represent fees being received. The airborne paid ticket represents full payment. These are interpretations of a static visual composition, not technical claims about SIMD or Identity.md.

**Uncertainty and unanswered questions:** Several small, partly occluded head-like forms behind the left foreground agents do not expose enough of their faces to verify every mask. This prevents an unqualified assertion that every implied background agent satisfies the mask rule. Also, “PAID 100%” depicts the result of payment rather than an observable ongoing payment operation. The brief does not define whether these static visual conventions satisfy its strictest reading. Both limitations remain visible in the delivered image; no claim of complete independent acceptance is made.

No hard constraint was omitted intentionally. If the brief requires every background mask to be identifiable or an actual temporal payment event, those aspects are **not established** by this still image.

## Production and checks

The built-in `image_gen` tool generated [generated-source.png](generated-source.png) from the exact [saved prompt](prompt.txt). It returned a 1672×941 RGB image, so that source alone did not meet the exact requested dimensions or enforce a binary palette.

[export-image.mjs](../scripts/export-image.mjs) exports the full frame at 1920×1080 using bilinear resampling, followed by a threshold of 128 into 1-bit grayscale. This creates a minute aspect-ratio adjustment, loses grayscale antialiasing and darkens some fine hatch detail. It does not crop or add scene content. [export-checks.json](export-checks.json) records the settings and output measurements. The source is provenance material, not the final contest image.

The final exported image was visually inspected. The separate standard-library PNG checker was run locally and passed header, chunk CRC, decoded scanline length, binary pixel-count and digest checks. It checks file integrity and measurable properties, not character identity, direction of motion or aesthetic quality.

These are author self-checks. Path/byte verification and local checks do not constitute independent semantic review.
